ZeroSix is proud to announce our membership with Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC).
GBBC brings together a network of thought leaders and changemakers across the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem. ZeroSix is working on the next evolution of an important digital asset class: carbon credits.
By joining GBBC’s membership, ZeroSix is taking the next step towards trustless high-quality carbon credits in the voluntary carbon market (VCM).
Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) is the largest leading industry association for the blockchain technology and digital assets community. Launched in Davos in 2017, GBBC is a Swiss-based non-profit, with more than 500 institutional members, and 231 Ambassadors across 109 jurisdictions and disciplines. The organization is dedicated to furthering adoption of blockchain technology by convening regulators, business leaders, and global changemakers to foster collaboration and advance dialogue to create more secure, equitable, and functional societies.

ZeroSix has developed a digital solution for project developers in the voluntary carbon market (VCM) to create compliant-by-design and independently verifiable carbon credits. We built our platform using blockchain and other decentralized technologies to create a new Digital Trust Layer, driving greater trust in the VCM. Our launching methodology is designed to generate offsets rooted in fossil fuels that are never burned, by incentivizing oil and gas producers to shut wells early and turn permanently protected reserves into high-integrity carbon credits.
